The Kelpies, the largest equine sculpture in the world has been recently lit by Studio Due. These 30-metre high horse-head sculptures are situated in Helix Park are a monument to Scotland’s horse-powered industrial heritage. A Kelpie is a shape-changing aquatic spirit of Scottish legend. Its name may derive from the Scottish Gaelic words ‘cailpeach’ or ‘colpach’, meaning heifer or colt.
Adlib team worked on this icon to transforms Andy Scott's iconic steel horse sculptures in a powerful new light.Beyond artistic vision, the enhanced nighttime display creates compelling opportunities for tourism, event hosting, and destination marketing.
Studio Due PARLED 300 PRO RGBW LED Lighting fixtures were selected from Adlib UK technical team to wash uniformly the internal structures.
OPTICS
A wide lens of 60° was specified flooding light internally as much as could be possible.
MARINE GRADE
Being close to the water a marine grade treatment has been mandatory suggested from Studio Due R &D department to grant long life.
WIRELESS DMX
To avoid the passage of cables, fixures are controlled via DMX wireless with an external antenna.
